“To live without hope is to cease to live” as stated by Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky the famous novelist, in a way summarises the vibrant and captivating artworks of Babita. With her deep passion for artistic expression Babita is a self-taught artist whose artworks are characterised by vibrant colours, exciting textures, and dynamic brushstrokes, exuding a sense of spontaneity. She delves into themes of resilience, courage, and joy thereby celebrating the inherent beauty and strength of the human spirit. Specialising in mixed media art, Babita skilfully employs a variety of mediums such as oils, acrylics, pastels, textures, and spray paints to bring her abstract concepts to life.
“Human emotions, diverse and multifaceted, serve as the wellspring of my creativity. I strive to infuse my artworks with the exultation and happiness that arises when one grants themselves the freedom to fully experience life. In a world filled with obstacles, my motivation lies in creating works that offer a respite—a moment of pause that invites the audience to reconnect with their hopes and dreams. The recurring motifs of butterflies, wings, and flowers in my compositions are not mere aesthetic choices but deliberate symbols of hope and transformation. Each brushstroke, layer, and texture in my compositions is a deliberate invitation to contemplate the beauty found in embracing freedom and self-expression.
I approach my canvases with a commitment to reveal the layers, lines, and marks that reside beneath the final flourish of colour. This unveiling serves as a reminder that, akin to the layers of paint, there exists profound depth within every human emotion, intention, and action. It is through this exploration of emotional complexity that my artistic journey finds its inspiration.”

Take On Me - “Take on me” is one of my most recent works which aligns itself perfectly with my mantra for the year 2024 – “Trust my journey”. For me, this piece is a celebration of authenticity and self-expression. It's a testament to the power of embracing our true selves, flaws and all, and boldly stepping into the world with confidence and courage. It's a reminder that each of us is a work of art in progress, constantly evolving and growing, and that our differences are what make us beautiful. I have pushed the boundaries of my creativity by incorporating techniques out of my comfort zone and absolutely loved the process. This piece was literally a canvas to my chaos and with these splashes of vivid colours and textures, I am ready to take on the world! (Mixed media on Canvas, 14 x 18 Inches)

Seek The Stars - "Seek the stars" is a testament to the transformative power of art and the resilience of the human spirit. It emerged from a deeply personal journey of self-discovery and growth, born out of a significant setback in my artistic journey. In the face of doubt and uncertainty, I turned to my art as a form of therapy and self-expression. As I delved into the creative process, each brushstroke became a defiant declaration of my resilience and worth, a hint of the wings of a butterfly, a prompt for me to fly and not look back. With every layer of paint, I channeled my inner turmoil into the canvas, transforming uncertainty into clarity and despair into determination. The sheer abandon with which I dedicated myself to this piece is evident in its bold colours and dynamic composition. This painting showed me that there is nothing stopping me from seeking the stars, from reaching for my dreams with courage and conviction (Mixed media on Canvas, 36 x 36 Inches)

I See Possibilities - The artwork "I See Possibilities" holds personal significance to me, as it emerged from a moment of profound introspection. As I found myself at a crossroad of life, grappling with uncertainties and changes, I found myself drawn to the creation of a portrait with flowers covering the subject's eyes—an embodiment of the barriers we often place upon ourselves, blinding us to the endless possibilities that surround us. As I immersed myself in the creative process, each layer of colour and texture became a journey of transformation and acceptance of change. With every stage of the creative process, I peeled back the layers of apprehension and disquiet, allowing the vibrant hues of the flowers to burst forth, possibly highlighting the boundless potential that exists within every challenge, our determination to seek out the best even at the worst of our times. (Mixed media on Canvas, 36 x 36 Inches)

Dunes - After my travel to the beautiful land of Egypt, I was so mesmerised by the beauty of the desert that I had to capture the feelings it evoked in me onto the canvas. This piece is a captivating fusion of portrait and landscape, where the beauty of the desert seamlessly intertwines with the grace of a woman. The contours of the landscape blur and blend with the contours of the woman's face, creating an ethereal sense of unity and interconnectedness. It's as if the desert itself is breathing life into the portrait, weaving in and out of each other like threads in a tapestry. As the sun sets over the desert horizon, casting a warm embrace over the landscape, "Dunes" stands as a timeless ode to the enduring beauty of Egypt and the indomitable spirit of those who journey through its sands. (Mixed media on Canvas, 36 x 36 Inches)

Whispers Of Silence - "Whispers of Silence" is a reminder to embrace moments of stillness and reflection in our busy lives. It's a gentle invitation to listen to the quiet voices within, to connect with our innermost thoughts and feelings, and to find peace amidst the chaos. The painting becomes a meditative space where time slows down, allowing individuals to attune themselves to the whispers of their own thoughts. The silence depicted in the artwork is not merely absence of sound but an invitation to explore the richness of one's internal world, finding solace and meaning in the profound dialogue that occurs within the quiet recesses of the mind.
